Um, where are the firetrucks? firemen?
Remember we are in a rural area so we depend on the Volunteer Fire Department. Our town's department consists primarily of Park staff.

Park Rangers are usually also First Responders (medical) and Fire certified. So, here Big Buckaroo is trying to save some of the barn or at least contain the fire so that it would not spread to any of the historical homes, i.e. matchsticks waiting to be lit. Also, my friend Nikki's house is only a few hundred feet away and let me tell you she was not getting Smores ingredients out at this point.
Big Buckaroo finally decided that his Park brown uniform might not be the protection he needed and put on his fire gear. I think that was a good idea because, um, did you see this fire?
Yeah, looks a little hot.
Have a great weekend,

Time to reload, thank goodness there were many Volunteer Fire Departments that responded to help. It is amazing how people pull together during these times. Politics, religion, race, education - none of that mattered, there was a goal and everyone was working to achieve that goal. Just think what kind of world we would have if everyone worked together like this on a daily basis.
Most of the tack was saved and even some old wagon wheels.
Smokin'!
The fire was put out and although the barn did not make it, the town was saved.
I told you it was going to be a very hot post today! Also, I am single-handedly trying to clean up the Internet. When anyone Google's Hot Park Ranger (and I know you people are out there) they will be brought to this clean, family-friendly site!

So, for all those Googlers out there: Hot Park Rangers, Hot Park Ranger, Park Ranger, Love Park Rangers. Park Rangers are Hot, A Ranger's Life. I can't wait to see what kind of ads show up on my site--tsktsk.
Have a great weekend,

Make sure to put a Meta Tag on that to get the traffic up ;)
You are single handedly saving the internet! Proud to call you my friend! You need a cape like Asthma Girl.
BRAVO for Park Ranger Big Buckaroo...
I'm glad they were able to save the tack and wagon wheels and not have the fire spread further. That was TOO MUCH excitement for one day, I'm sure.
Take care and kiss your little "Bucks" and the "BIG BUCK," too.

You are a hoot! Thanks for doing your part to make the internet a cleaner place to surf. ;)
I'm so glad that your friend's house was okay. And also that they were able to save some of the things from the barn.
Wha?? Have you been looking at my google search history? {blush}
Totally kidding PW. That looks scary as all get out. I'm just pleased as punch that the fire was finally put out without the loss of too much, and I don't even know where you live! And yes, bravo to Big Buck and his fellow volunteers!
Wow those are amazing pictures of the fire...my old school burned down a few months ago and I know appreciate fire pictures :/
I totally just googled hot park ranger and yours is the 3rd one that came up :)
You are so funny. When I saw the title of the post, I thought, oh boy, what will her advertising say now? We live in a rural area,so I know all about fire and volunteer fire departments. Thank the Lord for them. I'm glad you saved as much as you did. Blessings, Dee

Too funny!
Wow! That is crazy! The most exciting thing that has happened here was when we caught a mouse...which was really just gross.

I fell into a burning ring of fire... (oh sorry, just checked in and started singing)
It's late at night, I've had a hard day and THIS... well, let's just say my husband thanks you for this one!!
So glad that all the buckaroos, big and small, are ok. That was one BIG fire! Wonder what happens when you google "park ranger's smokin' hot wife?" Nevermind!
OK, I had to check it out along with GQ's "bare stomach volleyball". You are both frauds in the very best way.
That fire however was scary looking and I am glad no one was hurt.
He is kind of "hot" though.
