Blooming Again

I love Spring!

Yes, it snowed last week, but now it is warming up a bit again. Ole Mother Nature can't make up her mind. Just like a woman!

We have a big festival here at the Park this weekend so the Little Buckaroo's and I are very excited about being outside and enjoying the sites (and the bloomin' onions)! Now, of course Big Buckaroo will be worn out from all the work, maybe I will buy him a corn dog or a turkey leg.

I picked a bouquet from my yard yesterday, I love having fresh flowers in our home. Plus, the symbolism of where I am in my life is perfect. I have learned in the past 3 years at this Park to "bloom where I am planted". So, it is only fitting that the Lord has filled my yard with beautiful flowers. (Now if He could just help me out with our garden!)

These are the sweetest smelling flowers. Does anyone know the name of them? The common name will be fine, I am a little rusty on my Latin, well, I guess rusty is stretching it because I don't know any Latin. But, what I do know is that these are pretty and smell delicious!

Have a great day!

Just beautiful! I can only wish we had flowers already. We are due for more snow ...as we usually get it till about April/May here in Connecticut. I have seen buds sprouts growing but hopefully they won't get killed off during the next cold break. The joys of New England. Always something different around here for the weather. Enjoy your weekend. Wish I lived closer so we could all come for a visit for all the events and the food! :)

Wish we had planned better. It sounds like this would have been a great weekend for a short trip to visit! Hope it's tons of fun. I'm jealous of your beautiful blooms!

Oooooooh! I can't wait for spring flowers to arrive here (I'm in CT, too!). I think those flowers are Narcissus...but I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, so you might want to check before you go repeating it! :)

I love that..."Bloom where you are planted"

I know! I know!
They are Narcissus. I grew up with those planted down my front sidewalk as I grew up. I learned to walk, skip and ride my trike down that sidewalk. Those flowers will come up FOREVER! They never die out. I know when I did my folks' estate, those flowers were still blooming each spring after 50 years. How about that for being PERENNIAL?

Enjoy your beautiful yard! I am sending a picture of the narcissus from the internet.

I cannot believe it is Jonquil Festival time again. The boys will have so much fun. The littlest much more than last year. Share a fried twinkie for me, on second thought make it a funnel cake...Twinkies are so much better in there original condition. I can still smell those flowers.

I also learned in looking that the narcissus is a daffodil. I think it smells the best!

Paperwhites are a small member of the Narcissus family (Daffodils and Jonquils are larger family members).
