What is this bloggy world coming to?

O.K. Let me first apologize for my computer unsavvyness (I know that is not really a word, but I like it). It is amazing, just 5 short years ago I was a professional public relations practitioner that even redesigned, wrote content for, and launched the Intranet for my international organization along with writing content regularly for our Internet site. So, how is it that my blog world throws me for loops? Did the 2 Epidurals zap out all knowledge that I had acquired up until that rainy night in December 5 years ago when Little Buckaroo was born?

This brings me to Adsense, or for me, lack of sense. I have had some completely inappropriate ads popping up, like cheebing wibes (spelled incorrectly so that it will not pull anything like that up again), Fee Wibe Personels, etc. If you a have read my blog for any amount of time, you know that these types of things are in direct conflict with who I am, so let me apologize for this. I am trying to filter these types of things out. The total of 61 cents I have earned is not worth my integrity, so if I can not remedy this, I will just lose my sense or cents. Thanks Renee from Seattle for informing me of these ad mongers. I appreciate my readers, all 5 of you!

Update: I am singlehandedly going to clean up the Internet! So, view my story Hot Park Rangers.

We are off to throw a surprise birthday party for my MIL in Texas today. So, if anyone reading is from Texas, I will wave at all of you bloggy friends as we are meandering (good Texas word) through your parts.

Have a great weekend and remember to stop to appreciate all of the blessings God has given you, big and small.

Ew, that stinks. I usually read your posts in Google Reader so I never see the ads, but I just clicked over and both of them are a bit questionable, and surprising based on the content of your site. Usually Google does a good job with targeted ads, so I wonder why these are off.

Anyways, I'm visiting my family in Texas, too, so I'll wave back as you meander through! I hope y'all have a safe, fun trip. =)

I agree about the ads, some that have popped up on my site have troubled me as well. And for what?? It's not as though it's a big turn around. I am strongly considering taking them down. I didn't put them up for a long time because of this issue even though I have been signed up for quite some time.
I signed up for Amazon because I liked being able to pick the products that showed up. Not that it's a big turn around either, cause that has amounted to all of nothing... but it's kind of fun to do the "recommend" a product thing anyhow. I placed my ads at the bottom of my page, so if something weird did pop up, it didn't jump out at people right away. I may be removing it soon. So if you see mine gone, know this issue was troubling this Christian lady too ;)

I have never seen the ads, but was thinking of starting my own blog (hopefully soon) and don't want to that occur so maybe you could share tips on what you do to prevent it from happening to me ;0

I like the new banner. I've had some odd ads on my page too; I don't understand how sometimes the google ads can be right on and other times be so off...

I've been kinda wondering how the ad thing works out. I don't think I best put one on my blog..sometimes my potty mouth gets away from me and I can only imagine the kinds of things that would pop up on there...
I love your new look...very nice.

I have had the very same problem on my blog. Adsense drove me crazy. The ads it put up were even more offensive...if you can believe it? I was mortified! I finally got it off my blog, too.
I hope you had a great weekend in Texas. We're having unusually warm weather right now...Yuck! Unfortunately, that's not uncommon here in Texas. Oh,well...
Have a great Monday!

I just took them off my site. I checked today, and after a few weeks of being on, I had made 15 cents! Wow!
I told a story about The Boy having a male shopping gene, so something was up about male hormone therapy, you can imagine what that was about. And in one of my posts I wrote "I love Jesus," so and "I love Jesus" dating service came up. Now, while I have no problem with Christian singles finding each other, my site isn't the pimpin place to make it happen. The other thing was, because of the "MapperSnapper" name, which as you know is just a nickname and a play on maps and cameras, when they didn't know what else to run, they would put the strangest things about "snaps!" It was odd. The 15 cents I did "make" was from the Google search bar anyhow, so I left it up, figured no harm there.
I am glad I am not the only on reconsidering all this, thought maybe I was being a prude. We'll be prudes together is we are being prudes!
Hey, hope you had a good weekend, I mentioned you in a post, put a silly picture up for ya (near bottom of post), check it out:

I ahve had the same problem on my site. I even blogged about how odd it was. I mentioned in the post that now that I had mentioned these things, It would read it and I would never be rid of them. ( I as not so clever as to spell things in a funny was) anyway, after I posted about it those ads went away never to be seen again.

This blog world is a strange place!
