O give me a home....

Where the Buckaroos can roam,

where the deer

and the Buckaroo's play.

Where seldom is heard a discouraging word,

And the skies are not cloudy all day!

How often at night when the heavens are bright, With the light from the glittering stars, Have I stood there amazed and asked as I gazed, If their glory exceeds that of ours.

We have our home on the range, well maybe it's not on the range. It is a little more of woods, but it is glorious and we are amazed at our blessings.

We signed the papers, gave them the check, and we are now land owners!!! We camped out on our land this past weekend and got to work on building a road into where we will build our cabin. It was VERY cold at night, but the days were beautiful. My whole body hurts from working so hard.

Oh, what is that I see in the distance? The beginning of the road? and...

My Big Buckaroo is single-handedly cutting down the trees for the road. Oh, my hero!

I must go take some Ibuprofen now,

How exciting for you! I have always wanted to own a spot of land in the woods. My brother is a state park manager here in Minnesota, and we have always camped in his woods, but don't own any of our own. I envy you and know you will enjoy every minute on your new land.

It looks so pretty, love the deer. My father-in-law came in this morning and told me that there were two big bucks standing out in the pasture. Then a car came down the road to turn around and scared them off. So I didn't get a picture.

Congratulations on the new land - a place to dream. I can't even imagine where you live because we have about 14 inches of snow right now, and today it is 11 degrees though Sunday morning it was -2 degrees. The concept of camping in February is totally foreign to me, but I am happy for you to be able to enjoy that time with your buckaroos. Our little piece of property "up north" will be thawed out come April or May. God has blessed you. Take care, Elizabeth S. in mid-Michigan
