I have noticed many bloggers have not been around much the past couple of weeks, no, we have not all been hanging out together in some undisclosed beach location, we have just been roasting in our respective towns. People, it is HOT out there.
It has to be the heat and spending the last of Summer vacation with kiddos because the alternative is that we have all been so worried about where Brett Favre is going to play football this season to blog. Now, as a USM alum, knowing Brett in college and working at a fitness center with his wife Deanna, I must admit that I have been loosely keeping track of this saga, or football soap opera. I am so glad that it has been decided that he is going to New York so that I can stop seeing his face every time I click on MSN.
I am sure that Deanna and the girls are looking forward to the shopping opportunities that will present themselves in New York as compared to their options in Green Bay. Plus, I doubt that Green Bay has any good off-Broadway shows. I am happy for their family.
Green Bay fans, I know you felt that the day that Brett was released from Green Bay would be the day that hogs and dogs lived in harmony (no, not Mississippi State Bulldog and Arkansas Razorback fans). Well,
Yes, the boxer and the piglet are inseparable. Lucky the dog watches over Tonto like she is his baby, it is kind of cute, yet a bit disturbing.
Waiting for football weather,
The Park Wife
Disclaimer: For all non-football fans, I am sorry for the football talk. For all Green Bay fans, I am just plain sorry.

I am in love with Tonto and Lucky. That pic just made my whole day!

I just said how forward I am looking to the new football season. However I am limited to only the OU Sooners. I am not a pro football fan, but I am very loyal to my Sooners. It is the one main thing my son and I have in common, love together, talk about together. I so look forward to it. And of course I love your boxer! He looks like our Maddie whom we allowed to go live in Texas with my breast cancer best friend in the world. We had kept four of our 7 puppies and knew she would have a good home there, but it was hard to give her up. Don't you just love them? And that pig cracks me up. You have such a huge and kind heart!!
The best scenerio would have been Brett Favre playing for Minnesota. Living in Minnesota, only about 60 miles from the Wisconsin border, we have friends of purple and friends of green. I would have loved to have seen some of those Packer backers deal with Brett in purple!
Cute picture of the hog and dog!
I am counting down the days until we start up our fantasy football league!! ;o) I LOVE football season!
I, too, am tired of seeing Brett Favre's face (and I NEVER thought I would say that, hehe)! Glad the whole thing got settled! And that is the cutest pic/dog pic I have ever seen!!! Miss ya'll!
Awwww I love that pig!! Wow you know alot of people. :)
Such a sweet pair! Glad they are friends and not enemies.
We had 107 temp in OKC area the other day, but COOLER today. Only in the 90s!
Hope everyone is staying cool over there at your house.

I am in love with that dog! And the pic of Lucky and Tonto - just aDORable!!
While I wished he would have never retired, (I knew he couldn't do it) I am glad the saga is over. We were in Wisconsin for the whole drama, so if you thought you were tired of seeing his face, just think of all the local coverage we were beseiged with. The weather was so much cooler, I wanted to bring it back with me.
Love your piggy pet!
:J
After viewing these photos and reading how attached Lucky is to Tonto I have to ask.....you ARE planning to keep Tonto as a pet, right?????
LOL
