Fact of life at the Buckaroo home~ boys need outside projects and the best ones involve mud. That is hard for me at times because, well, I have this idealistic life set in my head where the boys are clean and well put together at all times. Boy am I getting an education on how little boys tick. I give in, they are only little once and I want them to be fearless adventurers. So, when Little Buckaroo thinks he wants to make an island and he needs a shovel, I go with him to the barn to get him one. And, this is how things go from there.
I have Lake Buckaroo in my yard. They worked hard!
Preparing to have a mudfight, let's just say that Lucky the dog, was again not lucky on this day. Neither was anything that came in a 15 foot radius of the "lake". I have washed more muddy clothes in the past week and the pile is still growing.
After the 3rd bath for the day, I do get a glimpse of my idealistic, clean perfect world.
And then it rains again.
Headed to the mudroom to put on another load of clothes,

Hallie :)
What an adventureous Mom you have become as a "boy Mama." Those boys will remember the MUD all their lives and that you allowed them to enjoy it. I love each picture and especially the last one!
When does the Farmers' Market begin? Just wondering...
